Google offers businesses free Web-based programes
Google today announced that it is making a set of free Web-based programs available free for small businesses, universities and nonprofit businesses.
The applications, email, IM and calendar, will be hosted on Google servers relieving companies of the need to maintain or install software on individual computers.
“If we do it right, we get the best of both worlds — very consumer-friendly software, but also low-cost business applications,” said Dave Girouard, general manager of Google’s enterprise division
