Google renamed “Google Sitemaps” to “Google webmaster tools” to provide tools and information to keep webmasters informed and increase crawl coverage and visibility on Google. Also, a new “Webmaster Central Blog” is now available to blog about the webmaster tools, the Sitemaps protocol, and other topics related to crawling and indexing sites.
